Moments after sunset these cosmic lovers will be visible in the western sky. Balanced by Jupiter’s distance from the Sun, Venus appears bigger and brighter on the right-side of her powerful God. The royal pair reached their closest conjunction earlier this morning at 3 a.m. Pacific Time, but will continue their dalliance this evening at twilight.

Whether you’re into stargazing, astrology or straight astronomy, this is a celestial power couple.

Thousands of years ago our global ancestors viewed these same two planets with awe and superstition just as we do. There are volumes of legends linked to both.

Jupiter, the giant thunderbolt God, known as “The Great Benefic”. And Venus, Goddess of beauty and fabulous fortune, the beloved “Queen of the Night”. This is the ultimate tete-a tete.

Astrologically, Jupiter’s mighty forward-looking influence coupled with Venus’ love and luck make for an auspicious date. After this, they part ways into the vast solar system, never to appear again this closely until 2032.

So go outside tonight. Be dazzled. Bring your loved ones or just your lover. Absorb the auspicious frequencies even if you’re not superstitious. Even if you don’t believe in such things.

Behold God’s glory on this beautiful night. Just do it.
